Frequently Asked Questions

How do I search for a specific song?

There are two ways to look for a specific song title. You can use the Google search at the top of the page, although if Google hasn't indexed all of the pages on Nubeat yet, then the results may not be conclusive. The second way is to click the "Full Song List" link and then hit the ctrl + F keys on your keyboard, then type the name of the song in your browser's search box and it will take you to the text on that page.

How do I download a song?

Go to the album page that you want and you'll see to the far right of each song the words "DOWNLOAD" in blue, Right-Click your mouse on the the "Download" text and choose "Save target as... or Save Link as..."

I can't get the songs to play? What's wrong?

If you do not see a mp3 player on the album pages, you may not have Flash installed on your computer. To play a song, you need to have Flash 9+ installed on your computer. Versions of Flash are available for Mac, Windows, and Linux, and can be downloaded free of charge HERE. If you have Flash 9+ installed on your computer and you still cannot see a song or video player, you may have installed Flash blocking or ad blocking software which prevents you from seeing the Flash players. To play the song, you will need to disable your blocking software for Nubeat.org. Another thing to remember is that Nubeat.org uses JavaScripts, and some things may not work if your browser's JavaScript settings are disabled. Another reason that downloads are often blocked is if you have parental controls enabled on your computer.

How come there's only music from a small group of music artists and you don't have mainstrem artists on your site?

NuBeat.org was designed and created as an avenue for Christian music artists, bands and studios (specifically volunteer members of the Family International and affiliated groups) to offer their media free of charge to the general public.

How come all of the songs on NuBeat.org are free?

Good question. All of our Nubeat Music Group members are dedicated Christian missionaries and volunteers. There's one main reason that explains
why these songs are given out for free, Mark 16:15. Preach the Gospel to every creature. What better way to get the good news out then to offer these songs for free? And because our music artists are busy serving the Lord, many do not have the time or resources that it takes to promote, maintain and become a well known artist, and obviously they are not in it for the money, but for the furtherance of the Gospel.

I can only find new versions of some of the songs that I used to listen to when I was young. Are the original versions available?

Many people that visit NuBeat find songs that they used to listen to when they were young, but are disappointed that we don't have the original recordings posted on NuBeat. We would like to post them, but right now they haven't been transferred to digital format yet, and it's a matter of the studio personal getting the time to do it. Please be patient, if you sign up to the NuBeat News Subscriptions, we will notify you when they get posted.

If I'm not a Nubeat Music Group member, but I have my own songs that I would like to be posted on Nubeat, is that possible?

Yes that is a possibility. If you have a group of songs that you would like to be represented on NuBeat.org, send us an email and let us know. There are several conditions to becoming a Nubeat Music Group member. 1. You must own the rights to the songs you want posted. 2. You are offering the songs in whole free of charge to the general public. (for non-commercial use only) 3. The songs must be Christian based. 4. The songs/lyrics are subject to approval by NuBeat staff. 5. Your songs may be removed without notice by NuBeat staff's discretion.

I've been looking for a very old tape that I used to have, but I can't find it on your album list, do you have old tapes available?

Yes we do! We have another 40 albums that are transfered from cassette tape. You can find them HERE.

I downloaded some songs from NuBeat.org, but how do I add the mp3 songs to my itunes library for my ipod?

Adding content on your computer to iTunes iTunes helps you add digital audio and video files on your computer directly to your iTunes library. You can add audio files that are in AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, or Audible.com (.aa) format. If you have unprotected WMA content, iTunes for Windows can convert these files to one of these formats. You can also add video content in QuickTime or MPEG-4 format to iTunes. To learn how to add these files to iTunes follow the steps below.
1. Open iTunes
2. From the File menu, choose one of the following choices: * Mac o Add to Library * Windows o Add File to Library o Add Folder to Library
3. Navigate to and select the file or folder that you want to add.
If iTunes is set to "Copy files to the iTunes Music folder when adding to library," iTunes will copy all content that is added to the iTunes library to the iTunes Music folder. To adjust this setting or change the location of this folder, go to the Advanced tab in iTunes Preferences. Info found here: HERE.
