I heard the call within my heart,
Unmistaken in it’s clarity.
“Forsake the world, be set apart.
Give your all”, is what it said to me.

And then I prayed and sought your face.
Do I really have the faith,
To forsake my plans and take
What you have for me.

I lay my life down at Your feet,
Accept the destiny You’ve given me.
And though my prayer is bitter sweet,
There’s nothing else I know is right for me.

I place my heart within Your hand.
I know that you will understand.
Every wish and all my dreams,
I trade them for Your love.

And I will lay my own will down.
Take the cross and wear the crown.

So I live my life today
Full commitment trust and loyalty.
For something that won’t fade away:
Your golden promise of Eternity.
